The Free State Coalition is a committed activist group focused on building a stronger Maryland community and fighting against injustice. As part of our ongoing efforts, we’re organizing a food drive to support the Maryland Food Bank in light of significant federal funding cuts. These cuts, including the loss of $4.4 million in food delivery funding, come at a time when food insecurity is at historic highs—affecting one in three Marylanders. Our mission is to provide immediate relief to those in need while advocating for systemic change to ensure sustainable support for vulnerable communities. Together, we can help bridge the gap and build a more equitable future for Marylanders.
